Towbook Element: Account Manager
In Towbook, you can designate an Account Manager to the account(s) that they are responsible for, whether that individual is an outside representative of your company or a direct employee.
Our goal is to give you a better grasp on the performance that these users bring in for your company, determine income brought in, and the overall health of their "account list".
How Does it Work?
This option allows you to view per account, filter from the account level page and run reports by who is the Account Manager of which account!
Add a User or Use an Existing User
Each Account Manager will have to have a dedicated user account; you can create them as either a Dispatcher or Manager, whichever you prefer.

Modify the Account
Once the user is created, you can add them as the Account Manager on a per-account basis for any accounts they are responsible for.
You can either create the Account Manager a user account with which to log in, run reports etc, if you want them to self-manage their account list, or you can create a user account to designate accounts and filter reports without sharing login with the user.
You can do this by going to "Accounts" --> Select the Account --> "Modify Account" --> "Account Manager" --> "Choose a Manager"
Be sure to save your changes!
Account Filtering
Under the accounts section, you can view the Account Manager assigned to every account using our show/hide column option.
This column can be exported into excel, allowing you to quickly generate a list of each Account Manager's accounts.
Reporting
The Account Manager filter is also available in several reports. This includes the Performance Report, AR Aging Report, and Payment Verification Report.
- The Performance Report provides a Total Invoice Amount and Job Count, alongside other helpful data.
- The Payment Verification Report helps track the income generated by an Account Manager's accounts.
- The AR Aging Report filter either allows each account manager to stay on top of their accounts receivables (if they are an active user for your company) or will enable you to view this and work with the account manager to resolve any outstanding balances.
